Efficacy of Erigeron Canadence Mother Tincture to Increase Platelets Counts in Cases of Dengue Homoeopathically

Abstract:

The dengue virus (DENV) is the most common arbovirus in the world transmitted by the aedes aegypti mosquito. In more severe cases, however,

The term ‘dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF)’ is used.one of the common complications of dengue fever is a decrease in the number of platelets in the blood, which is called thrombocytopenia. The decrease in platelet count in dengue fever is believed to be due to the destruction of platelets by the dengue virus.

Erigeron is chiefly known as a remedy for haemorrhages. It is a remedy good for haemorrhages of all kinds, but prescribes it homoeopathically with Discretion.

Key Words:

Thrombocytopenia in dengue is homoeopathically cured by erigeron canadense (mother tincture).

Introduction:

The dengue virus (DENV) is the most common arbovirus in the world transmitted by the aedes aegypti mosquito. The virus belongs to the flaviviridae family, and the disease can be spread by one of the four types: denv-1, denv-2, denv-3, and denv-4. The course of illness ranges from asymptomatic to life-threatening, and incubation period typically lasts three to fourteen days.

Secondary infection with a second serotype often results in a worse prognosis. The three phases of infection include febrile, critical, and recovery. The Febrile phase begins around day four to seven of infection and lasts around three to seven days. Fever is sudden during onset and typically high (greater than 40°c), lasting two to seven days. It can be accompanied by myalgias, arthralgias, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, lymphadenopathy, hepatomegaly, maculopapular rash, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and transaminitis.

The Critical phase of infection can be followed after defervescence and is most common in patients with secondary infection and other comorbidities thrombocytopenia is common and can occur with vascular leakage, shock, and organ impairment.

Timing of Platelet Count Decrease:

Platelet count usually starts decreasing a few days after the onset of fever. This drop in platelets can be observed around the time when the fever peaks. While not all dengue  patients experience severe thrombocytopenia, monitoring platelet counts is crucial to identify those at risk of bleeding.

Diagnostic Methods:

Accurate diagnosis of dengue infection is crucial for effective management and prevention of severe cases. Several diagnostic methods are employed to identify first-time and repeat infections:

Ns1 Antigen Test:

The ns1 protein is a non-structural protein produced by the dengue virus. The ns1 antigen test detects this protein in a person’s blood during the early days of infection. It is highly specific to dengue and is particularly useful for diagnosing first-time infections.

IgM Antibody Test:

Immunoglobulin m (IgM) antibodies are produced by the immune system in response to a dengue infection. Detecting igm antibodies in a person’s blood indicates recent dengue exposure. This test is valuable in diagnosing both first-time and repeat infections.

IgG Antibody Test:

Immunoglobulin g (IgG) antibodies develop later in the course of infection and remain in the blood for a longer period. A positive igg result indicates previous exposure to the virus, which can help distinguish repeat infections from first-time infections.

Whenever we study the medicine erigeron canadense most the writers are only described about this remedy for haemorrhages in their books of materia medica but erigeron canadense has greatest property to increase the platelets counts in any haemorrhagic diseases circumstances in which blood proteins are continuously declining especially platelets counts . In my opd practice I have used this remedy in many cases of thrombocytopenia (mainly due to dengue, malaria ), and must say I am rarely disappointed.

This medicine wanders me when i was first applied it on my friend, he was suffered more than a week by dengue and his platelets counts was very low as

He told me on call about his all suffering and very hopefully he asked have you any medicine that can raise my platelet counts, that circumstances i recommends him a homoeopathic medicine that was erigeron canadensis mother tincture to take its 15 drops 3 times in a day, this remedy tremendously worked within 5 days. He again called me and happily told me about his new report.

Hence, I am confidently telling you that this remedy is good for hemorrhagic conditions of all kinds,in which platelets count is decreased.

I am assuring all the professionals of homoeopathy to use this remedy in their practices in cases of thrombocytopenia especially due to dengue, malaria.
