New law likely on Ayurveda and Homeopathy

New Delhi: A high level committee has recommended a new institutional framework for homeopathy and Ayurveda in India, continuing with its drive to streamline the country’s medical system.
The committee chaired by chaired by NITI Ayog vice chairman Arvind Panagariya has proposed that Indian Medicine Central Council Act (IMCC),1970 and Homeopathic Central Council Act,1973 be replaced by two new acts.
