Embelica Officinalis: Indian Gooseberry


Amla, Embelica officinalisAmla or Indian gooseberry are the fruits of tree Emblica officinalis. It is an anti-oxidant. Amalki:  Means Sustainer or the fruit where the Goddess of Prosperity Resides. It will boost immunity and prevent recurrent infection. It is good for eyes and hairs.

Clinical Uses:
  • It is used to treat skin disorders, respiratory infections, and premature aging.
  • Useful in hemorrhage, diarrhea, dysentery, and has therapeutic value in treating diabetes
  • Also has anti-bacterial and astringent properties that help prevent infection and help in the healing of ulcers
  • Used as a laxative to relieve constipation in piles
