India Offers AYUSH Scholarship to Sri Lankan Students For Higher Education In Traditional Medicine


The High Commission of India ColomboThe High Commission of India Colombo on Wednesday announced a scholarship to Sri Lankan citizens under the Ayush Scholarship Scheme for UG / PG / PhD courses in Ayurveda, Yoga, Greek, Siddha and Homeopathy for the academic year 2019-20.


The Government of India selects meritorious Sri Lankan citizens for the award of this scholarship in consultation with the Ministry of Higher Education of the Government of Sri Lanka.


These scholarships cover full tuition fees and a monthly allowance for the entire duration of the course. The scholarship includes accommodation allowance and annual grants. In addition, full healthcare is provided to all ICCR scholars in India.


Candidates wishing to apply for these scholarships can download applications from on the website of the Municipal Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education Ministry.


The last date for submission of duly filled application form in the Municipal Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education Ministry is April 26, 2019.
