SRINAGAR: The SAC that met on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Governor Satya Pal Malik approved the Time Bound Promotion plan for homoeopathic medical officers in the pattern of allopathic and Ayurvedic doctors / Unani.
It is worth mentioning that the promotion scheme with a time limit is available for allopathic / Ayurvedic doctors and ISM. The homoeopathic medical officer cadre was created in 2006 with the creation of 30 medical officer positions, two posts in each district hospital and one post for the Government Medical College, Srinagar / Jammu.
The proposal of the Department of Health and Medical Education for the introduction of a promotion plan with a time limit for the Homeopathic Medical Officers in the Department of the Indian Drug System is an analogy of the Medical Officers, Ayurveda / Unani.
With the extension of the time limit promotion to the homoeopathic medical officers, 16 medical officers recruited in 2007 will be entitled to the first promotion with time limit theoretically w.e.f. 01.01.2019 and regularly from 01.04.2019. The promotion with a time limit will be purely a monetary incentive without any link with seniority.
