Educational Qualifications
- BPharma./MPharma.
- BSc. Microbiology/Zoology
- BE Biotechnology/Medical Electronics
- BSc/General Nursing
- Doctors (Including Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Physiotherapy, Dentists)
Work Experience
- 24 months to 48 months (Medical Coder)
- 48 months to 72 months (Senior Medical Coder)
Technical Skills & Competencies
Must have –
Good to have –
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Knowledge of Pharmacology.
- Well versed with current coding principles.
- Worked with ‘ICD 9 CM’ codes. Proficient in assigning codes to diagnoses in Inpatient or Outpatient charts using the ‘ICD-9 CM’ text book.
- Worked with HCC Coding such as Optum, Optum MDX, NAAM CA & MMM with Part C & D Coding.
- Used CPT and HCPCS codes based on HIPPA.
- Worked software such as ‘Putty’,’Citrix’,’CoderYTE’ and ‘Encoder Probe’ to input information into a computerised patient record system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
