Stalwarts’ Segment – Dr. Timothy Field Allen

Died: 05-12-1902
Born in West Minster, Vermout.
He was appointed as a professor of Materia Medica at the New York Homoeopathic Medical College.
He was responsible for converting it to a homoeopathic institution. Music and botany were two other areas of Allen’s interest.
He compiled the Encyclopedia of Pure Materia Medica. Its 10 volumes were published between 1874 and 1879. This Encyclopedia was a complete record of all proving done with homoeopathic drugs.
