
Understanding the History of Syphilitic Miasm:
- “Smallpox scars the body; syphilis, known as great pox, scars the soul as well” it was actually Traced back to 11000 years ago in Africa Pandemic in Europe in 16th century
History says that French King Charles VIII died of syphilis at the age of 28 Origin of disease is unknown & the Treatment was heating the victims in barrels filled with cinnabar It cured syphilis but killed the victim with mercury poisoning
- Hahnemann was the first physician ever to treat syphilis successfully with minute dose of mercury, he called the syphilis miasm as “the venereal miasm proper” nothing but the Chancre disease
Mode of development of Syphilitic Miasm:
3 steps
- Mode of infection: Impure coition
- Internal development: all wiping and washing off the spots affected, however speedy and with whatever fluid, is too late and it wont help the individual at all.
- External manifestation
- i) Primary manifestation: Chance– 7 to 14 days of impure condition. Which has symptoms such as ulcer with stinging pain & which remains for lifetime.
- ii) Secondary manifestation: Bubo which is the local manifestation.
General presentation:
- Destructive nature is the sole indication.
- Deformities
- Ulceration with excess suppression
- Fissures of glands
- Congenital deformities are also common.
- Causation or A/F; Suppression of abnormal discharges & Suppression of growths or ulcers
Mind: These individuals are filled with perversions, closed mouthed persons, Dull, stubborn, morose, guilty complexes, Fixed ideas, doesn’t like to take any responsibility, Slow in comprehension, Anger leads to violence Escapes from the responses and ways complaints of violent nightmares of being killed.
Child: No attachment with the parents, basically Emotionless expression in child, Oedipus complex in children with pervasive thoughts.
Head (internal): unilateral Basilar headache with Band like sensation hence bores head into pillows, roles from side to side.
Nose: Anosmia, Snuffles in children & cartilages destroyed.
Face: Grayish and greasy & Face of infant looks old and wrinkled.
Mouth: Dental abscess & ulcers.
Desire: Cold food and cold drinks, Smoking, coffee, tobacco.
Aversion: meat
Chest: Cough which sounds like barks of a dog.
Heart: Silent asymptomatic complaints such as Sudden heart attacks,
Sexual organs: Painful and troublesome erections without sexual desire, Inability to perform the act of coitus and Vaginal discharge can be drawn into long threads.
Extremities: Stitching, shooting, lancinating, burning pains.
Skin: Copper colored spots with less itching.
Modalities: Aggravation: night, warmth, rest, exertion, artificial light, natural discharges, sea weather. Amelioration: cold, day time, motion and abnormal discharges.
