Indian Central Council of Research in Homoeopathy and GOI’s Ministry of Ayush will celebrate the World Homoeopathy Day-2018 by holding a National Convention on April 10-11 at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi to accord Homoeopathy the dignity it rightly deserves.Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, Committed to Credible Research in Homoeopathy, has always considered ‘evolving with times’ a top priority by networking with research institutes, national institute and drug standardisation laboratories.
Also, in many countries, the practitioners of homeopathy observe World Homeopathy Awareness annually between April 10th and April 16th. The event is organised by the World Homeopathy Awareness Organisation in which both homeopaths and those who have been healed with homeopathy.
Homeopathy uses animal, plant, mineral, and synthetic substances in its preparations and labels them in Latin or faux-Latin vocabulary. For preparation, “nosodes” are made from diseased or pathological products or “sarcodes” with healthy specimens. Some homeopaths use “imponderables” which are prepared by exposing alcohol or lactose to X-rays or sunlight.
However, the World Health Organization has warned against the use of homeopathy to treat severe diseases such as HIV and malaria as international scientific and medical communities regard it as quackery.
